Jon Gooch has been a very busy man. He just released an absolutely banging drum and bass remix for The Prodigy under his Spor Alter-ego and he just showed us two Feed Me tracks from his forthcoming EP.
He is slated to release a new EP on February 2nd titled, “A Giant Warrior Descends On Tokyo.” A very Feed Me-esque name, no? So far we have two tracks from the EP. Both with sonic aspects that give you that signature Feed Me sound you love so much but with different enough ‘drops’ to give us a variety.
What is most prevalent in both of them is the extremely catchy build up that gives you a preview of the song without ‘spoiling it’ so to say. But both have very different progressions. ‘Wuzzle’ drops off into an almost moombah-esque beat which is led by some awesome sounding organic drums.
Spilt Milk, like I mentioned before, has a build up that just screams ‘Feed Me’ before dropping off into a deep-house inspired breakbeat that will make you say, “OOOOOOHHH that’s smooth” in the best of ways. Mixmag had the pleasure of premiering it
Check out the two tracks below, and keep an eye out for the full EP to come out February 2nd on Feed Me’s Sotto Voce Records.
