HARD Summer is here and this year’s lineup is set to host some of the hottest electronic acts. Including performances by Major Lazer and Dillon Francis, and B2B sets by DJ Snake and Malaa, ZHU and Tchami, and more, HARD Summer 2019 is going to be one of the most talked-about festivals of the year.
We’ve compiled our list of ten must-see acts at this year’s two-day festival. Check out our ten can’t-miss HARD Summer performances below and let us know who you’ll be seeing in the comments.
RL Grime
Set Time: Sunday 10:00-11:00 PM @ HARDer Stage
RL Grime is making his grand return to HARD Summer. RL Grime always puts on a phenomenal performance and his HARD Summer set will be no different. The producer recently dropped an insane edit of G Jones’ “In Your Head” along with the promise of more edits to come, many of which are likely to be sprinkled throughout his performance.
Alison Wonderland
Set Time: Saturday 10:00-11:00 PM @ HARDer Stage
Alison Wonderland is one of the best live performers in all of electronic music. She expertly combines live vocals, cello, and DJing into her sets and always leaves fans wanting more. Her Saturday night closing set on the HARDer Stage conflicts with some of the nights biggest sets like Kid Cudi, DJ Snake B2B Malaa, and GTA and Friends, but she’s definitely worth it.
Shlohmo
Set Time: Saturday 8:10-9:10 PM @ Purple Tent
Shlohmo returned from his hiatus earlier this year with his rock-inspired album The End. The producer, who first made waves with his dark flips of Drake, The Weeknd, and Banks, quickly shot to the spotlight after being tapped by Drake’s OVO Sound. There’s no telling what Shlohmo’s HARD Summer set will entail, and that’s probably the best part. Shlohmo is so multi-dimensional that his performance will easily be one of the highlights of the weekend.
Kayzo
Set Time: Sunday 8:50-9:50 PM @ HARDer Stage
Kayzo has risen to a whole new level this year. Kayzo kicked off the year with a star-studded performance at Coachella featuring Yungblud, All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth, Sum 41 drummer Frank Zummo, Grandson, and Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee. The producer has been breaking genre boundaries left and right with his rock-EDM singles featuring Of Mice And Men, shYbeast, blessthefall, and Our Last Night. Along with his groundbreaking music, Kayzo has been delivering bone-chilling performances all summer long. If one thing’s for sure, Kayzo’s HARD Summer set is going to be heavy.
graves
Set Time: Sunday 4:50-5:50 PM @ HARDer Stage
Graves has soared to new heights this year. Following the release of his stunning Far From Home EP, graves was tapped by legendary producer RL Grime for a collaboration. Between “ARCUS” and his recent two-track release on Kayzo’s Welcome Records, graves has dominated our pages this year. His upcoming performance at HARD Summer follows his debut headline tour and appearance at Ubbi Dubbi.
LICK
Set Time: Saturday 1:50-2:50 PM @ HARDer Stage
LICK has dominated 2019. The rising producer dropped off a fiery collaboration alongside WHIPPED CREAM, an earthshattering EP on Deadbeats, and his debut album Dark Vibe Order, all of which have garnered him a dedicated fanbase. LICK will be opening the HARDer Stage, which will host performances by GG Magree, DROELOE, Whethan, What So Not, and Alison Wonderland throughout the day. LICK’s HARD Summer debut follows a summer filled with festival performances at Electric Forest, Paradiso, Ever After, Audiotistic, and more.
DROELOE
DROELOE have exploded over the past year. With the help of San Holo’s bitbird imprint, the Netherlands duo have garnered millions of streams across their refreshing future bass originals and performed at festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. Their HARD Summer performance follows their recent set at Sunset Music Festival and headlining North American tour earlier this spring.
Blanke
Rising producer Blanke has been making waves in the trap and bass realms. Blanke has garnered attention with his genre-blending collaborations alongside REZZ, 1788-L, JayKode, and GG Magree. The Australian talent has also been drafted for official remixes by the likes of RL Grime, Marshmello, Illenium, Gryffin, and more. HARD Summer is one of many stops on Blanke’s debut North American tour and follows performances at this summer’s Paradiso, Ever After, ILLfest, Escapade, and Global Dance Festival.
Young Franco
Set Time: Saturday 2:25-3:35 PM @ HARD Stage
As part of his first-ever US tour, Young Franco‘s main stage performance is definitely one you won’t want to miss. Young Franco soared to new heights this summer after his single “About This Thing” was featured in a recent Starbucks commercial. His hypnotic future house-meets-R&B stylings have an entrancing effect on any listener and his early afternoon set on the main stage will get you ready whatever HARD Summer decides to throw your way.
GG Magree
Set Time: Saturday 2:50-3:50 PM @ HARDer Stage
GG Magree is one of the hottest rising female DJs and for good reason. After aligning herself with Deadbeats, GG Magree has brought her bass-heavy sounds across the globe. The Australian songstress and producer has collaborated with the likes of Zeds Dead, NGHTMRE, Jauz, and Blanke. GG Magree’s upcoming HARD Summer performance follows appearances at this summer’s Lollapalooza, Audiotistic, Ever After, and Ubbi Dubbi.
