For months, Denver bred producer StayLoose has continuously impressed with a string of Dim Mak released singles “Hey Mama” and “Fight Back“. Having previously released a remix of Rozes‘ “R U Mine” back in 2015, StayLoose has now unveiled a gooey new single with The Chainsmokers and Galantis collaborator. “Mean To Me” is bittersweet and salty with gritty thumping basslines and rhythmic percussion bouncing off Rozes’ grungy filtered vocals. The four-to-the-floor electro pop banger has stired up this burgeoning new subgenre of dance pop, aligned with the likes of Kill Paris and Sweater Beats. With each and every new release, StayLoose continues to step up his game and always leaves us wanting more. Stream StayLoose and Rozes’ new single “Mean To Me” below.
“I met the very talented Rozes back in 2015 when I remixed her song “R U Mine”. A few months later, we began playing around with the ideas for “Mean To Me”. It’s been a long time coming to release this one and I think it shows that great songs stand the test of time.” – StayLoose
