Bassnectar has been on a roll lately on his Twitter page, going into the EDM scene and most recently attacking a large portion of his fan base, the wooks.
When 40 or 50 wooks come out of their K holes long enough to spew gibberish off their meaningless social media accounts it doesn’t phase me

Now you might think that this is a pretty stupid move on Nectar’s part, but in a few follow up tweets he clarified his rhetoric explaining that this was a lash out at trolls and cyberbullies, saying:
Because I am not tuned in to haters, trolls, or click bait. I will not tune in 🙂

I tune in to those who I love and trust, who are kind, thoughtful, intelligent, sensitive, and those who have earned credibility. ❤️????????????
— Bassnectar (@bassnectar) July 19, 2017
That’s Cyberbullying 101: simply don’t tune in to haters, trolls, and ignorant whining bickering fools who waste their time. Tune in to ❤️????????

Now although we most certainly support Bassnectar’s message calling out cyber bullying, he definitely could’ve done it without insulting a vast swath of his fan base, that’s just brand management 101. More though than his actual tweets, many who aren’t evangelical nectar fans and sitting on the sidelines are wondering, just why did he do this? The current theory floating around by many is that this started because of Bassnectar’s comments towards Pretty Light’s new community movement. Check them out below:

community is not something you “debut” its something that builds over time, from the heart. https://t.co/YVO9pFY68r

Now whether this turns into World War Wook or not we will just have to find out and wait, but until then just sit back and enjoy the theatrics.
