If you were at Rushcliffe School in Nottinghamshire last weekend you were having a great time. That’s because the 250 students that showed up to get lessons on how to DJ ended up taking their class to the next level. The class was supposed to run from 7-10pm, but wasn’t shut down until 3:30am the next day. The students ended up causing minor damage to the building including broken fire doors.
The event wasn’t actually organized by the school, rather a company by the name of Field Sports Management who books external events in the school’s building was in charge. Because of this no school administrators were at the building at the time of the event. Rushcliffe School’s headmaster Steve Lewis had this to say about what transpired:
“We are absolutely mortified by it. It is nothing that the school would ever want to be connected with, or Field Sports Management. We are part of the community and want to support it and be good residents.”
The police didn’t arrest anyone while breaking up the party stating “we are satisfied that no offences have been committed.”
