Feed Me Flawlessly Remixes Deadmu5′ “Strobe”

Feed Me aka Spor aka Jon “Goochifer” Gooch is no stranger to the remix scene but his latest rework of Deadmau5‘ Strobe is one of the finest examples of remix work we’ve seen in literally years. While most producers are perfectly content throwing a popular vocal acapella over the futurebass track-du-jour, Feed Me has taken an old-school approach to remixing this lyric-less Dedmu5 masterpiece (possibly the greatest track Joel has written) by completely reconstructing and emphasizing the most impactful elements of the original with a level of detail that shows an immense amount of respect for Joel and his work.

There isn’t a single element in this remix that doesn’t seem to deliberately pay homage to the original track with that unique Feed Me flavor– a flawless tribute to the artist who can be credited with launching the “Feed Me” project into the public eye. The slow breakdown three and a half minutes in using the syncopated lead melody is particularly pleasant as it focuses on one of the more beautiful, interesting elements of the original which Feed Me slowly speeds up and adds to with a mature, developed sense of musicality.
