Jack Ü Drops One Of Their Best Sets Of The Year, But It Could Be Their Last

Last week one of England’s biggest festivals, Reading Festival, took place with Jack Ü playing a legendary set on the BBC Radio 1/NME stage. During their set, we heard old and new from both Jack Ü and from Skrillex‘s and Diplo‘s individual projects, including their new song, Constellations, with Florence + The Machine.

While this might be one of their most talked about sets for a while, this might also be one of their last sets as Jack Ü as well for a bit. In a deleted tweet, Skrillex said:

Just did out Last jack Ü festivals of 2016 …and for a long long time. thank you for all the people who came out to support us

A lot of speculation has come about as to why the group has made this announcement. One possible explanation is that they want to finish up their Jack Ü EP that was supposed to be out in the spring. Individually, Skrillex and Diplo have their own projects that need work on as well. We know that Diplo’s project Major Lazer has an album titled Music Is The Weapon that still needs to be finished, and alongside his touring, he might need more time with that project. The same probably goes for Skrillex who has been releasing a slew of singles, but might have a new album or EP in the works. One rumor we want to believe is that Skrillex might get back together with Boys Noize for a new world tour and EP release, but for now, that’s just our desire.

Either way, until we find out more news about what Jack Ü’s plans are, enjoy their entire set from Reading Festival. It’s jam packed with bangers and could be their last one for a while.
