PREMIERE: Dr. Fresch - Another Level

Dr. Fresch has exploded over the past year seeing his tracks put up hundreds of thousands of plays on Soundcloud and getting an official release on OWSLA. Today we have the pleasure of premiering his new genre bending banger Another Level. Utilizing four different tempos, Another Level flows seamlessly through bassline house, trap and moombahton to create a song that will go off in any set. Here’s what the doctor had to say about the track:

“I have always been captivated by electronic music that breaks format – be it tempo changes, key changes, etc.; unconventional approaches to familiar styles of music inspire me. I’ve been playing out a few tracks in my sets recently that make tempo changes, and wanted to take a stab at making something that pushed these boundaries myself. With “Another Level”, the goal was to translate the Dr. Fresch brand into as many different genre spaces as possible in one song. I ended up taking the track from a 130 BPM house into, into 13 0BPM breaks, 110 BPM Moombahton, 140 BPM Trap, and finally 176 BPM Hybrid Trap. I started writing the 176 BPM section first, was looking for a good drop sample, found the “I be on another level” cut (couldn’t be more appropriate) and the track came together. My goal with any production is to always represent a style and vibe central to my brand, but I believe that that style is by no means confined to house music. I’m always trying to push my artist career to “Another Level”.” – Dr. Fresch
