So let’s get this straight. This is A-Trak, head of Fool’s Gold records, winner of a DMC, and also one of the best tastemakers and scratch artists out there, doing a scratch session at FG HQ of Jack Ü material. This ‘short cuts’ video appeared just a few hours ago, premiering on Dancing Astronaut. In case you haven’t yet seen it because it has barely been out a few hours, please let me advise you of a few things before you hit play on the below video. The end is nuts. The whole thing is completely bonkers as he starts out on one table and makes it sound like 1985. Someone please get out the cardboard box and hand me my now vintage Adidas jumpsuit because this dude is about to go H A MF.
So he ‘cues up Jack Ü and Fly Boy Keno and the second half goes absolutely mad. Wait until he is slowing things down, speeding them up, and scratching at the same time. And while the DJing is so so def, oh so fly, the images of 1970’s nerd memorabilia were almost equally priceless, but almost does not count. Not when you are talking A-Trak. Get ready to be number 2 at anything when A-Trak is around, scratching especially. Pretty sure you should grab a spare pair of pants for this one, because I immediately had to change mine.
