Frank Ocean + Mick Jones + Paul Simonon + Diplo – “HERO”

Mad Decent kingpin Diplo has teamed up with numerous artists during his career and it looks like Frank Ocean as well as Mick Jones and Paul Simonen of The Clash are going to be added to the list. This unexpected collaboration comes as a part of Converse’s Three Artists, One Song series that has featured musicians like Andre 3000, Pharrell, Gorillaz, Matt & Kim, and others.
Diplo said in a statement:

The Clash were always teachers to me, even before I shared a studio with Paul and Mick. Their musical anarchy and constant attitude to disregard rules and forge their own path was inspirational to me. They meant death to genres, music and message above everything. Frank lives by the same creed in being married to his vision and seeing it through at any cost. We had to challenge each other to make something that we hope no one could expect and Converse valued everyone’s artistic freedom to let us shine throughout the past few months to make this thing happen.

We won’t have to wait long to hear what these great artists have put together as their song titled “Hero” will be available to download on March 10th via Converse’s Tumblr.
