The other weekend in Chicago, Claude VonStroke’s renowned Dirtybird label threw one of the most fun and vibrant musical events we’ve ever been apart of. Taking place on the Windy City’s beautiful Lake Shore Drive, the Birdhouse festival scene was something out of a movie – infectious house music blasting into the summer air, with energetic concert-goers flanked by Lake Michigan and the breathtaking Chicago skyline.
From the up-and-coming openers to the festival headliners, all artists delivered and more with memorable performances, giving the entire day a cohesive feel and leaving us hungry for more groovy house music at the next Dirtybird gathering. While some festivals boast a killer lineup but lack the right vibe or sense of community, Chicago’s Birdhouse killed it on all angles. And as if the music wasn’t enough, they went above and beyond the with their accommodations from the food trucks to the carnival rides and games. If you have the chance to catch a Dirybird event near you, we highly recommend you don’t miss it.
