Ookay has been one of my favorite character arcs in recent dance memory. From seeing him take over the trap scene in the early 2010s to seeing him reinvent his style and vibe into a matured live artist, he’s created a real lane for himself.
This becomes more evident with the slew of hits he consistently puts out. This time around it’s a funky fun house tune titled “Sweat,” and boy does it live up to its name. Simple yet sweet, “Sweat” has this ear worm of a melody that translates well into its bass line. With some thick sawtooth leads piercing the high range, the only answer is to move your feet.
