Anyone who knows Sweater Beats know that he loves pop-punk. The future bass producer is known for sprinkling a little Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday throughout his DJ sets and peaked last year when he was tapped for an official remix of Panic at the Disco’s “Say Amen (Saturday Night).” Continuing to bridge the divide between future bass and pop-punk, Sweater Beats has unveiled the first volume of his new Not A Phase series. Not A Phase Vol. 1 includes ten emo-electronic edits and mini-mix, all available for free download. Featuring mashups of Billie Eilish and Cashmere Cat, Motion City Soundtrack and San Holo, and Blink-182 and Kid Cudi, Sweater Beats has delivered a bittersweet collection that will leave any fan feeling nostalgic. Sweater Beats’ Not A Phase series will allow the producer to explore his love for pop-punk music through mixes, edits, and live shows. Finally starting my ‘Not A Phase’ series! It’s gonna include mixes, edits, parties, live sets, and so much more. ‘Not A Phase’ is all about having fun, staying true to the things you love, and not being embarrassed to sing along to your favorite songs at the top of your lungs. For me, I’ve always loved pop-punk, emo, pop, and electronic music, so that is really what most of the songs/edits/mixes/sets are going to consist of. I really hope you guys love this because its ‘Not A Phase’ and I won’t be stopping any time soon. – Sweater Beats
