G-Eazy has always had an undeniable swagger and it’s finally being put to use. The Oakland-bred rapper is apparently in talks with Warner Brothers to portray Elvis Presley in a new Baz Luhrmann biopic. Tom Hanks is already confirmed to play Elvis’ manager, Colonel Tom Parker, in the film. This would be G-Eazy’s first big foray into acting, a trend we’ve seen from many rappers like Childish Gambino, Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, and Machine Gun Kelly, who recently portrayed Tommy Lee in Netflix’s The Dirt. G-Eazy even went as far as to post a picture on his Instagram with the caption “Don’t be cruel, to a heart that’s true,” which is a line from Elvis’ “Don’t Be Cruel.” If we’re being honest, G-Eazy is the perfect person to play Elvis.
