It looks like Major Lazer is ushering in a new (and possibly final) era after news recently broke that longtime member Jillionaire has left the trio to pursue a solo career. The split comes ahead of Major Lazer’s upcoming Lazerism project – an album that many believe to be the supergroup’s last. While no official announcement has been made, it’s all but clear that not only has Jillionaire left, but that he’s been replaced by the band’s longtime collaborator Ape Drums. As you’ll see below, from their recent performance at Governor’s Ball Ape Drums is on stage while Jillionaire is nowhere to be seen. Regardless of this change, we’re still excited to see Major Lazer do their thing and keep releasing music moving forward.
