After just one year of calling Virginia Key home, Ultra Music Festival has announced there will be a new home for the 2020 edition of Ultra. In a statement put out today by Ultra, the festival has “voluntarily terminated” its license with the city of Miami. Ultra is already “finalizing a new South Florida location that will serve as an incredible and permanent home for Ultra Music Festival.” The decision to move locations was based on feedback from their post-event survey along with the tumultuous arrangements and travel issues incurred at this year’s festival. It is still unknown what this means for the annual Miami Music Week, which corresponds with Ultra’s festivities. Read Ultra’s full statement below.
