Westwood Recordings recently released a juicy remix album of Stickybuds’ debut album Take a Stand. This compilation is a whirlwind of sounds and styles, reworking Stickybuds’ 9-track album into 16 distinctively awesome singles that feature glitch hop, trap, drum and bass, funk, and house just to name a few. Though the original style of these tracks has been altered, Stickybuds’ message still remains, drawing awareness to the ubiquitous plague of political corruption whilst putting a bounce in your step.
Some remix highlights include legendary mixmaster A.Skillz’s remix of “The Firestarter”, Ed Solo’s liquid DnB rendering of “Heavyload”, and the deep bass half time rework of “Take a Stand” by Skope. The album also features sounds from Kursa, AHEE, Kotek, Defunk, K+Lab, Beat Fatigue and many more. Seriously, the whole album is amazing. Dive into these remixes and let each groove and invaluable message move your mind and soul.
