It goes down in the DM. After a brief trolling stint, two of this generations biggest hip-hop stars have made peace with one another over social media.
Several weeks ago, multi-platinum selling recording artist Soulja Boy Tell’em (now Big Drako) caught a career resurgence thanks to an instant-classic interview with leading Hip-Hop radio show The Breakfast Club. The infamous interview that sparked trending catchphrases that took shots at music’s biggest artist Drake. During the interview, the “Crank That” hitmaker made claims of Drake stealing his sound and business blueprint.
“We Made It” is a 2013 release by Drake featuring Big Soulja. Soulja mentions desire of shooting a visual for the single back in the day and Drake only bring him out on the road for a one-stop show. The song never made any of Drake’s catalog. Soulja Boy Tell’em recently signed a new deal with eOne and quicked released a new single in “Cut The Check”.
The peace came to be with Soulja Boy making a visit to Drake’s OVO Los Angeles branch for a shopping spree. Live streaming the experience via IGTV, after several fans made claims that Drake wouldn’t respond to the ongoing antics. Soulja Boy revealed that during the retail therapy, Drizzy reached out to his one-time collaborator to clear up any possible issues and mentioning the two’s previous single, “We Made It” while revealing that he enjoyed Soulja’s trolling. Further reassuring with him repeating the catchphrases.
In other Drake news, the 6God adds another accolade to his trophy case as it was announced that his debut mixtape, So Far Gone debuted on the Billboard Top 10 after originally released on mixtape-hosting websites back in 2009. The debut mixtape features classic cuts, “HoustonAtlantaVegas,” “Best I Ever Had,” and “Successful”.
