RL Grime, 1788-L, And REZZ Dominate r/EDM’s 2018 Best of EDM Awards

r/EDM has finally shared their 2018 Best of EDM Awards and they’re spot on. Garnered from community votes over the course of two weeks, r/EDM’s awards span more than a dozen genres. This year’s winners have highlighted a number of our favorite artists including Skrillex, RL Grime, 1788-L, REZZ, Illenium, and Virtual Self.

Skrillex and JOYRYDE, of course, received a nod for Best Original Track (Collab) for “AGEN WIDA” in the Bass House, G-House & Bassline category. To no surprise, Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa’s “One Kiss” won Best Original Track (Solo) in the House category. RL Grime dominated the Trap category winning Best Artist, Best Album/EP, and Best Set/Mix. Virtual Riot garnered attention winning Best Artist and Best Original Track (Solo) in the Dubstep & Riddim category. 1788-L made an impression winning Best Breakout Artist and Best Artist in the Midtempo Bass category. 1788-L and REZZ also tied for Best Original Track (Solo) in the Midtempo Bass category and ironically won Best Original Track (Collab) for their collaboration “H E X”. REZZ also pulled out Best Album/EP and Best Set/Mix in the Midtempo Bass category. Wolfgang Gartner rightfully stole Best Album/EP in the Electro House category for his impressive Medicine EP.
