Yes, you read that headline correctly. Yesterday, Twitter exploded when T-Pain tweeted that he was looking for future bass producers for his upcoming album . The “Buy U A Drank” artist has long been credited for his use of Auto-Tune and fresh innovation when it comes to modern hip-hop music. His move into future bass production would not only revitalize the electronic sub-genre but also bring it into the forefront of mainstream music. He’s referenced Louis The Child’s breakout hit “It’s Strange” and its iconic drop as the type of production he’s looking to move towards. Unsurprisingly, his tweet received hundreds of responses from top-notch producers like Hudson Mohawke, Sam Gelliatry, TroyBoi, Whethan, Prince Fox, Party Pupils, and Win and Woo. CRNKN even offered to come out of retirement to produce for the iconic hip-hop artist. This is one album we absolutely cannot wait to read the credits for.
Man. I need some future bass on this new album. Who do I need to holler at?
