SoDown Shows Off His Musical Versatility With New "Jet Black" EP

“It’s the early 1920s, a man driving a Jet Black Mercedes coupe pulls up in a dark alley. He gets out of the car and takes a quick look over his shoulder before walking behind a dumpster and down a narrow hallway. His suit, pinstripe, his cigar lit, he enters a dimly lit room with an ebony poker table surrounded by like-dressed men. He pulls out a chair and sits, everyone looks to him. He places his fedora on the table, leans back and interlaces his fingers behind his head. “Well boys, I think I have a plan for the future…”

Jet black is my take on bass music. I wanted the first SoHeavy EP to have a little bit of everything, epic and thematic while driving and powerful. This is some of my best work to date and I cant wait for y’all to hear it.” – SoDown

SoDown is capitalizing on his recent travels and successes with the unveiling of his “Jet Black” EP. With a fantastically creative depth, the producer breathes life into a myriad of electronic sub-genres, from electro-groove to breezy bass, to daunting dubstep, to bass house. Each release from SoDown comes in the form of a particular GetDown, SoHeavy, SoChill, and SoGroovy. Jet Black marks SoDown’s first, full-length SoHeavy EP. The 4-track project will stand as a staple in his long-lasting career as a creator. Unapologetically himself, this extended play is a mere facet of his diverse DNA- watch this space.
