Ahead of the landmark dance festival’s 20th iteration, the Miami City Commission of Planning and Zoning has unanimously voted to remove Ultra Music Festival from Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.
A new location has yet to be announced but the dance world is certainly in shock. With the festival producing millions of dollars a year for its community, many are left scratching their heads. Ultra has generated numerous memories and experiences at this venue for over a decade, the future for Ultra Miami is now in question.

Ultra rep tells me that he still believes festival could offer a contract that would satisfy neighbors and commissioners. Seemed optimistic that a contract could get hammered out for a March 2019 festival. Neighbors aren't buying it right now. They say it's unlikely.
