Philadelphia-based Aidan Peterson, otherwise known as the electronic artist Instupendo, has been on the rise. In recent years he has been steadily growing his fanbase with his emotional and therapeutic downtempo tunes. His sophomore EP “Faces I Know” is now given the remix treatment from three distinct styles. Curating an incredible list of artists, Slow Magic, Owsey, and Laxcity take the stage.
“I lived with these tracks for a long time before I released them, and was beyond excited for some completely new takes on them. Each of these artists have a unique sound and are brilliant at what they do, so it was just a dream come true to have them as remixers.” – Instupendo
Slow Magic sets the tone with an inspired spin on relaxational dream pop stunner “Fleur,” featuring Teen Daze. Artfully amping up the track’s original energy, the veteran remixer manages to retain its uplifting vibe. Followed by the dramatic rendition of “Boy” by Owsey. Putting together an atmospherical expansive, the producers musical genius is put on display once more.
Laxcity closes out the EP, bringing his signature genre-blending ethos to “Clementine,” morphing its jewel-toned arpeggios into an inventive wave-inspired, future beats-meets-orchestral amalgam.
