There are very few tracks that make one’s jaw drop and induce an instant need-to-listen itch. “Sound of Where’d U Go” is easily one of those songs. The collaborator list alone is something made in euphoric bass heaven. From current rulers Illenium and Said The Sky, to the wave creating mystery producer 1788-L and consistent vocalist Kerli; this masterpiece has everything that’s magnetic about this genre rolled into four minutes. The updated melodies seize our interest and the radical change in the drop holds our attention. The industrial grit from the bass line rips into your chest and eradicates all the malice that plagues you. This truly is a song for releasing the weights that holds you down and opening yourself up to the future that lies ahead. As a hardcore melodic bass fan, this track was everything I needed and more. I am thankful for Illenium, Said The Sky, 1788-L, and Kerli for bringing it into existence.
