It’s been two years since we’ve heard an original from RTT favorite Justice Skolnik but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t showered us with his gloriously fabulous dance pop. The San Francisco native floored us with his gooey official remixes of Matoma’s “False Alarm” and Lost Kings’ “Quit You” and “Phone Down” and topped it off with diverse flips of Kanye, Madeon, and Flume before debuting his new original. “Cameras” revisits the friendship built from his swoon-worthy 2-year-old track “Glow”, enlisting Republic Records signed indie R&B artist Jeremy Zucker for the lush pop scented single.
The gushing, seductively sultry dance pop track flows with the blackbear and Quinn XCII collaborator’s flirty vocals and an upbeat, shimmering summertime groove. Vibrant, sparkling synths ring against the snappy, glittery percussion and drifts into a dreamy, effortlessly sensual soul pop wonderland. The imaginative, infectious single has put Justice Skolnik on the map in a whole new way, as “Cameras” also serves as the debut of ALT:Vision and Casablanca Records‘ new partnership ALT:Vision Records.
The brand and taste makers behind our very own Run The Trap and Too Future launched their MGMT, PR, and branding company ALT:Vision in 2015. Since then, they’ve shaped the careers of electronic stars like Autograf, k?d, Medasin, Cavalier, and BLU J, with Justice Skolnik being their latest up and coming prodigy. Their artists have toured around the world, garnered millions of plays and countless #1s on Hype Machine, and filled the pages of Billboard, Dancing Astronaut, Your EDM, Earmilk, and more. ALT:Vision’s new label venture partners with Republic and Universal Records sub-label Casablanca Records, known for their releases with Alma, Prince Fox, Phantoms, StéLouse, and Wingtip, to allow their talented team of tastemakers to continue to grow and cultivate new artists on a whole new playing field.
“We have a very hands-on approach across record development, PR, branding and social that we apply to our artists to build highly engaged organic fanbases from the ground up. Now, we have the ability to utilize those strategies on the label side with an amazing partner like Republic/Casablanca to add fuel to the fire, all while keeping the artists’ long-term growth as the top priority.” – Adam Hirsch, Founder of ALT:Vision and Run The Trap / Too Future.
ALT:Vision Records also have songs in their pocket from RTT favorites like Medasin, Autograf, Wolfgang Gartner, Ramzoid and BLU J ready to take them to the next level. Read more about ALT:Vision and Casablanca Records’ new venture via Billboard and stream their first release “Cameras” below.
