The moniker of Chance The Rapper and Vindata collaborator Chuck Ellis is his latest endeavor as a future R&B singer-songwriter. Rulers’ sophomore track “Small Town Famous” is a steamy follow up to his debut hit. The track is produced by Moving Castle cofounder AObeats, alongside Jared Poythress, Keyel, and Nate Fox, and spirals with an incessantly infectious nature. Rulers’ sleek, tongue in cheek lyrics are electrifying over vibrant, wonky synths and wavy percussion. “Small Town Famous” is a stunning combination of sensual hip hop and lush R&B, breaking boundaries with its fiery genre defying soundscape.
