Nerds, rejoice. As the new Blade Runner movie inches closer and closer, we need something to tie us over in the interim. Well, look no further, because Shinichiro Watanabe (of Cowboy Bebop fame) has made a short animated film filling in the gaps, but more importantly, the music is pure, unadulterated, fuego, scored by the one and only Flying Lotus.
The film is supposed to explain what happened from the original, Harrison Ford/Ridley Scott masterpiece, up to the new film, Blade Runner 2049. Fans from all kinds of places should be happy with this, be in old heads who know all the ins and outs of Blade Runner, to anime nerds who are stoked to get something from the guy who brought us the cutest corgi in the galaxy, to Flylo fans who have no idea what the hell those last two things meant. Check out a teaser below, and let us know what you think!
When I saw a rough cut of 2022 the temp music was from my past albums. Seeing Blade Runner imagery set to my music was a beautiful feeling

First things I thought was how cool it would be to get kuedo and @MiguelAtwdFrgsn involved too. It all came out so good. Really proud of it.

Doing something with Watanabe was a dream of mine. Cowboy Bebop is one of the greatest!
