It was only a matter of time before Cashmere Cat remixes came out of the woodwork, and two in particular have caught our ears. Boston based SEVNTH is one of our favorite future R&B producers, taking many of pop’s top hits and inserting his signature sexiness into his many remixes and covers, making it no surprise that he’d take the opportunity to remix Cashy’s “Quit”. Enlisting the vocals of Meg Patron, SEVNTH brings a soft future soundscape to back the Ariana Grande inspired lyrics, turning the track into a lustful banger. Kid Lizard tackles The Weeknd and Francis & The Lights featuring single “Wild Love” and samples the hell out of the track, chopping the vocals and bringing bursts of vibrant future bass chimes into the mix. The LA producer flips the track into Lido-esque remix packed with gorgeous, bright synths and a future bass-meets-club aesthetic to the Cashmere Cat original. KL also went on to put his twist on Cashmere’s instrumental “Victoria’s Veil” bringing a similar future club vibe to the downtempo original.
These remixes will definitely keep you wanting more Cashmere Cat. Stream SEVNTH and Kid Lizard’s remixes below.
