Relentless Beats is all set to put on the third installment of The Phoenix Lights Music Festival – It’s jam packed with high profile artists like Alesso, Griz, Tiesto, Zeds Dead and Zhu. All jam packed into April 8th and 9th at Margaret T Hance Park. Below you will find a list of seven acts that you should definitely keep on your radar during Phoenix Lights – along with an exclusive ticket giveaway courtesy of Run The Trap and Phoenix Lights. Hope to see some of you out there!
Phoenix Lights
If any of the sets and mixes that have made it online are any indication, I fully expect Ekali’s set at Phoenix Lights to be jam-packed with unreleased heaters. His uncanny ability to flow seamlessly from song to song even if the genres vary wildly makes this an unmissable set.
Last Summer, Mura Masa had to unexpectedly back out of playing Hard Summer. Enter – Manila Killa – to save the day. He laid down an hour long set that undoubtedly made some new fans. That’s turning lemons into lemonade. Check out the set below, and make sure to make it to his set at Phoenix Lights.
I am so excited to finally be able to see these guys live. After signing onto OWSLA, and impressing with strong collaborations with Mija & Anderson .Paak this duo has been hard at work. We will have to see what kind of tunes they have in their arsenal for their set in Phoenix.
Admittedly, Said The Sky, has flown under my radar up until a couple months ago that I saw he was going on tour with long time collaborator, Illenium. His Soundcloud is packed with all sorts of powerful future bass, and melodic dubstep. It should be a set with all sorts of different emotions.
Dr. Fresch vs Bijou
These two impressed a lot of people when their collaboration, “HELLO” was finally released. I know everytime I hear it live, I sing along. “I started this gangsta shit, is this the mother fucking thanks I get?” They bring a whole different kind of vibe to the house scene, and personally I can’t wait to see what they do for an hour together on stage.
Dubstep can come in many different shapes and colors. Some like the high pitched chaos of modern american dubstep (See: Brostep). Others stick to low growls and sub-bass. GWN is definitely the latter. Busy on a spring tour made possible by their ravid fan-base. GWN is stopping by Phoenix Lights to drop off their progressive, crunchy bass.
Every now and then you get a chance to see an artist right before everyone else catches up – and you will be able to say, “I knew him before he blew up!” Well here’s your chance. K?D had a phenomenal 2016, and is well on his way to an even more successful 2017. Hot off a handful of supporting dates for Jauz and right before he joins The Chainsmokers for a handful of opening dates on their arena tour, K?D will be making a few appearances at some festivals across the country. If Phoenix Lights is your first chance to catch this young talent in action, then absolutely make it a priority to put him in your lineup!
Skip to 29:00 for K?D’s exclusive mix he did for The Chainsmokers!
