With an album due in the coming weeks, new music from deadmua5 is something we expected, just not a hip-hop tune. Last week while streaming on Twitch, the Canadian producer was putting in work on a new collaboration with UK grime rapper Shotty Horroh which we have now been graced with in the form of “Okay”.
“Okay” features a timeless string sample paired with a rolling, buzzing, bass line paired with the attractive flow of Shotty. The tune could mark the beginning of a beautiful relationship between the producer and rapper with deadmau5 tweeting, “I should just produce a whole album for Shotty Horroh… dudes so easy to work with.”
