We’ve been anticipating the arrival of RTJ3 since Killer Mike and El-P announced in march that they were half-way done. Now after a summer of recording, we’re stoked to get a sneak peek at the first track on the album thanks to a conspicuous placement in the most recent Gears of War 4 trailer (why are new games suddenly looking more and more like Team Fortress?)
As usual, the marketing people totally fuckin’ blew it with game SFX mixed way too loud and the exclusive, exciting musical content mixed way too soft (not to mention the initial 30 seconds of generic and seemingly arbitrary Michael Bay buildup music) but as jewel-runners we’re hungry for whatever we can get.
