Take a deep breath. Exhale slowly. There’s finally a moving picture that visually expresses Edamame‘s sounds.
Dust off your suspension of disbelief and wander through the woods during the brand new visual for “Tree Shadows.” It’s a smooth joint off the Chicago-based producer’s latest album, Ochre, which is set to drop this Friday, July 22, on Emancipator‘s Loci Records.
Notice how Edamame’s ethereal sounds narrate the short video’s hike through a calming forest sprinkled with suspended pollen particles.
Additional optical highlights include:
- Levitating orbs gathering around a pyramid reflected in a waterfall’s plunge pool.
- Chunks of exposed earth striped with fleeting hallucinatory seams.
- Electric flowers blossoming in the sun-laden woods.
- The aforementioned sun-laden woods fading into a starry sky spinning above barren pines.
- Deciduous trees cascading with sap.
- Airborne insects meandering through a pine-framed sun spot.
- A green, shivering bamboo thicket.
Definitely look out for Ochre this Friday. In the meantime, chill on “Tree Shadows”:
