What So Not and George Maple make a winning team. In their latest single “Buried,” What So Not and George Maple are taking things to the next level with an incredible new sound and dynamic bars from Atlanta rapper Rome Fortune. Co-directed by Leticia Dare and Andrew O’Toole, the official video for the track features a series of stunning underwater visuals. Check out George Maple’s description of the track and watch “Buried” below.
This track is a cultivation of good people and good energy. “Buried” is a commentary on the sadness of a superficial existence. We watch individuals lose themselves and overdose on their own ego and the world around them, falling subject to the pressures that debilitate the wider humanity. Some bury themselves to shield pain, some fall subject to greed and pride. We are all too familiar with this behaviour in the world we exist. We recorded everywhere from Sydney to Atlanta to LA. Thank you Rome for your epic flow,Tyler Scott for his mixing wizardry, the THC boys for jamming out with us that day in LA and James for letting us live at his house and use his studio while we were writing. The video was created simultaneously with the song, Leticia and Andrew worked with us to create a visual representation of our collective vision. We are very proud of how it turned out and think it captures the essence perfectly.
Thank you for supporting us and we hope you enjoy this collaboration as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
