In a recent interview with Billboard, Skrillex details some of the latest updates of his career, aspirations, and goals. Throughout the overtly positive conversation that tackles everything from advice for upcoming producers to misconceptions surrounding the world of electronic music, an interesting revelation popped up in regards to the newest collaboration on the way for Skrillex. He states,
I’m actually working with Bruno Mars right now. I’m not going to give specifics of what it sounds like, but what we’re doing is so f–king different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before.
It’s no secret that Sonny Moore has been exploring and thriving in the world of pop music, what with the colossal success of Jack Ü’s “Where Are Ü Now” featuring Justin Bieber and his multiple co-production credits on Bieber’s Purpose. Working with Bruno Mars doesn’t seem like much of a surprise considering this recent shift into more accessible styles, but it absolutely is an intriguing sign of what’s next for the head of OWSLA. Whatever might be on the horizon, we’re more than ready to check it out. Read more from the Billboard interview here.
