If there was ever any doubt that Baauer is back and better than ever, then let the newest BBC Essential Mix, crafted by Baauer himself be the collection of tunes that change your mind.

Baauer is an artist with a… different trajectory. After touring as a bit of a less known name he was thrust into the world’s eyes when his signature tune “Harlem Shake” was turned into one of the hottest memes to hit online. The song was even #1 on iTunes for a while during the initial explosion. After taking some time off from the public eye for a while after riding out his “Harlem Shake” fame out he would release tunes sporadically, and even play a few shows. Well, Baauer is back baby and following the release of his debut album Aa and even scheduling a little tour to celebrate the new album, we finally get a taste of what kind of music Baauer has been listening to since his time off.
