Breezy East Coast producer Flamingosis just released his latest album, Great Hair, and it sounds like a sexy stroll down a sun-drenched street in late summer.
A follow-up to his 2015 album Pleasure Palette (named a #1 Must-Listen by Reddit), Great Hair is a smooth sonic tribute to his father and uncle’s five-time world freestyle Frisbee championships that shines with silky samples combed from disco, jazz and soul records from the 70s and 80s. (The name “Flamingosis” comes from a freestyle Frisbee move his father invented.)
Check out “Elevator Pass” (feat. Tokyo Megaplex), one of Great Hair‘s wavier tracks. Channeling a laid-back 70s groove through a seductive, Ron Burgundy-esque electric piano, lounge and enjoy the tasteful sprinkling of xylophone accents.
Catch the album’s limited run of 300 physical cassette tapes along with the unlimited online download, both available here.
And, because I know you’re curious, here’s the Flamingosis move in action:
