Too Future. Guest Mix 049: Alizzz

Alizzz recently dropped his fantastic Your Love EP with the Moving Castle collective which happened to be the collective’s first EP ever. To coincide with the EP release, we thought it would be a perfect time to team up with this amazing producer to put together a Too Future. guest mix. He’s been a favorite here at Run The Trap for a minute and we’ve done multiple premieres with him so it was only a matter of time before he came through with a mix for us. To accompany the mix we reached out and had a chat with Alizzz about the EP and what his future plans are.

Describe your sound without naming any genres.

Epic colorful melancholic ecstasy.

What’s the ideal environment your music should be listened in?

In a very dark club, strobe lights, smoke machines and an awesome sound system. This is how I enjoy club music the most.

What can someone expect from the typical Alizzz setlist?

I build my sets thinking about the audience coming to see me, so I try to create the right vibe where all my own songs can be enjoyed in the best way possible.

How did you link up with Max Marshall for your new single “Your Love”?

Max sent me some acapellas she was working on. I was looking for some kind of epic pop vibe and the ‘Your Love’ hook was just perfect. A curious fact is that Max’s composition was actually being considered by One Direction for their new album but was finally rejected.

How did you get involved with Moving Castle and how has it influenced you as an artist?

They are one of my main points of reference when I think about the future of pop music. It’s interesting to see how the combination of future beats and advanced pop is flowing from the deep internet to the mainstream scene. In my opinion, Moving Castle are the perfect example of how the pop music industry will look like in the near future.

After writing ‘Your Love’ and ‘Basic Complexity’ I found out Moving Castle were starting to put out official releases, turning the collective into a real label, so I immediately sent them the songs. They were so happy to have me on board and are doing an amazing job with this release.

It’s also nice to be able to develop a long-term relationship with more releases, tours and collabs.

What can we expect from the Moving Castle EP?

The feeling of taking a fresh happiness pill.

Any future projects we should know about?

I like to keep things on the low till everything is 100% ready. What I can tell you is that this release with Moving Castle is not over yet, there are two very cool things coming up real soon, directly related with it.
