Skrillex Drops New Music at the Nest in London

A video has surfaced from the Nest in London containing footage of Skrillex spinning the South West Four festival afterparty in London, 30 seconds of previously unheard sound that could be a preview of something exciting yet to come. The half-minute is too short to tell much else about the mysterious new music dropped in Skrilly’s set, but long enough to spark the curiosity and intrigue that make this a story. Also anything Skrillex is a story, even if it is nothing more than loose speculation surrounding the latest ID thrown into a Skrillex set.

Unfortunately, it does seem too early to tell if this ID will eventually be identified, if it even has an identity. The truth is that it could be absolutely anything, and that whatever it is sounds stupid dope. Oh so dope. It is just bold, unique, and powerful, striking you within those brief seconds with the notion that this is could be something new from a solo Skrillex. Of course, it may just be a preview of something he is working on or about to release. It could be something sent to him through the fabled super thread, hot new flames from the company of genius he keeps. This little piece of music may have never been intended to be heard outside the earshot of those in attendance at the Nest that night, and we may never encounter it again except by playing this video. Maybe we never should have heard it in the first place. But we did.

It could be anything.

If nothing else, we know that Skrillex is a musical renaissance man whose every move shows immeasurable versatility and talent. We watch this video dying in anticipation for whatever it is he is planning next.
