This new G Jones EP, The Odd EP in the Pit of My Hard Drive, sounds like a video game and the score to Star Wars rolled into one album, and it is absolutely fantastic. Futuristic bass music, sprinkled with hints of trap beats and all kinds of dark, romantic flow.
As the kids are saying these days, That Odd EP in the Pit of My Hard Drive is pretty lit. In a world where no one dares to be different, and mediocrity so often outshines those artists made of real talent, the ones with integrity in every fiber of their being, G Jones is one of those artists. The kind whose music you cling to for dear life, because you know it rarely gets much better than sounds like the ones embedded below, available for streaming as well as a free download of your file choice.

Eleven (11) entire tracks of complete madness. A literal shock to the senses from beginning to end — that hard hitting, heavy, heady goodness for which we are all so desperately seeking. Beginning with the ‘sort of title track,’ which shakes and shocks your senses, to the end, where you will still be wondering what the f*ck just happened, as you hit play to give it another go round. This is worth more than a few listens. All the claps and pews, dings, dongs, beeps, and boops will have your head spinning in the best way possible.
The entire album speaks for itself, in a language only robots and freaks can understand. It speaks a language that is only easily decoded by those who are meant to hear it, but if you get it, than you understand so much about life, love, and how the universe can align with just the combining and syncing of sounds. The composition of these crazy notes as they run wild all over fast, flowing beats throughout time and space. Heavy bass and trap sounds flow fantastically through the other digital noises as they all play out into this virtual fantasy world; the one you are delivered to the moment you press play.
I literally can only see things in pixels as I play this EP for the third time in a row today. G Jones strikes a deep chord with this album — tapping directly into your every sense, getting so far inside you that you can feel it in your gut; the music becomes a part of your instinct.

It is the music of the future. Each track takes you on a trip inside the machine, into a dark universe with lasers and unicorns and sparkly rainbows everywhere, and where everyone lives and dies by the 808. It is either heaven or the dance floor and either way it is pure, unadulterated bliss. This album will take you there.
