The year 2014 was such a marvelous one for music lovers. We’ve heard sounds from all over the world and immersed ourselves into the cultures of music with one of the biggest in 2014 being Jersey Club. This Baltimore-club influenced sound went from being trapped in the artists’ studios and bedrooms to broadcasted at festivals, on television networks like BET, documented via THUMP, and much more.
Having explored the parties in the heart of Newark and taken the time to get to know an abundance of talented artists in the Jersey Club scene, Run The Trap’s Amanda Torres carefully crafted some of the hottest Jersey hits of 2014. From seductive club to heavy-hitting bed squeaks, these Jersey Club tracks will definitely make fans out of the most skeptical. Like the kween (UNiiQU3) said, “Jersey Club is your morning coffee and your midnight Red Bull.”

Stoner (DJ Tray Remix)
Being that Young Thug had everyone wanting to be a stoner, even if it was just to sing along, that also meant that everyone wanted to get their hands on remixing the original production. DJ Tray took the original all the way to Jersey with this remix.
DJ Tameil – Tek 9 (UNiiQU3 Feat. DJ Get Em Remix)
Jersey Club would be nothing without a handful of people including DJ Tameil. It’s only fair that the Kween herself teamed up with DJ Get Em to respectfully remix the pioneer’s work.
T2 Feat. Jodie – Heartbroken (UNiiQU3 Remix)
Coming off of the Dazed and Digital released playlist is the Kween again with her remix to T2 and Jodie’s club-garage ’07 hit.
Future – Move That Dope (4B Bootleg) | RTT PREMIERE & DOWNLOAD
Bringing that bass in the beginning, 4B eases us into the Jersey sounds. But, once you’re in… there’s no escape. Bending a handful of genres, this isn’t your “typical” Jersey Club track, but it’s definitely in our favorites of 2014.
702 – Steelo (DJ Tray Remix)
Having started off making beats for rap music, it makes perfect sense as to why DJ Tray would beautifully murder this remix to R&B group 702’s hit “Steelo”.
Vic Mensa – Down on My Luck (WhoisMaxBlu RCKLSS Edit)
Vic Mensa explored the electronic world with his track “Down on My Luck”, but WhoisMaxBlu from Team RCKLSS is giving him space to explore a little something else with this genre-bending Jersey/trapesque edit.
Rupee – You Make Me Wanna Jump (YungKiiDD Remix)
YungKiiDD took the Caribbean flair from Rupee’s original and came through with a machine gun full of bass and kick patterns.
Rae Sremmurd – No Flex Zone (Gutta Cartel‘s Jersey Club Remix)
Gutta clearly didn’t listen to Rae Sremmurd because he’s flexing all over this remix… He knew better.
Dougie F & DJ Fire – Back up on it (Jasmine) | Buy on iTunes
Dougie F and DJ Fire opened doors that had seemed to be locked shot. From the track getting picked up by Mad Decent to their performance on BET’s globally known 106 N Park, the two have made the Jersey Club family not only proud but also happy to be a part of the movement.
Keys N Krates – Dum Dee Dum (DJ iMarkkeyz, DJMI973, Yung Kid_NJ Remix)
As if Keys N Krate’s “Dum Dee Dum” wasn’t already a head banger, these three guys teamed up to blow our minds.
Young Thug – Old English (DJ Tiga Remix)
All that this track is missing is a 40oz in my hand as I listen.
Obseen & Ase Manual – Renegade Master | FREE DOWNLOAD
Back once again with the renegade master are two dudes that make magic when they work together. Obseen, Australian producer, and Ase, Jersey producer, give us one hell of a track with this one.
Corona – Rhythm of the Night (Stevie G Remix) | FREE DOWNLOAD
Twenty-year-old Stevie G blends Corona’s “Rhythm of the Night” with hints of Royce Da 5’9’s “Here They Come” and Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse”. Trust, it’s just as crazy as it sounds.
Brighter Days (Mike Gip Remix)
Although it might be the end of Mike Gip’s performing days, at least we know he won’t be giving up on his production talents.
Kiesza – Hideaway (SBF Remix)
Here’s another Jersey Club remix to “keep us breathing”.
iLoveMakonnen – Tuesday (TR!CK$ Remix) | FREE DOWNLOAD
iLoveMakonnen had the club going up on a Tuesday, but TR!CK$ will have you going up everyday with this remix.
Dej Loaf – Try Me (DJ Big O Jersey Club Remix)
Nobody is going to want to try DJ Big O after hearing this remix.
Keys N Krates – Your Love (R3LL Remix) | Buy on iTunes
DJ R3LL has been keeping himself busy this year, and it seems to be paying off for him. This Keys N Krates remix landed itself on the five-track Keys N Krates remix EP.
Nadus – Nxwxrk (Sliink ‘I Run New Jersey’ Remix)
DJ Sliink has had quite a year, and he’s ending it by paying homage to a really good friend: Nadus. Earlier on in the year, Nadus released the original Nxwxrk that beautifully payed respect to Newark, New Jersey. With the original being the staple of Jersey Club music during 2014, it was only right to include this heavy hitting club remix of it.
OT Genesis – CoCo (93rd Remix) | FREE DOWNLOAD
CLIUBJERSEY affiliate 93rd keeps the love for the CoCo going strong with this upbeat remix.
Gotta Get Thru This (Épais Remix)
Taking it wayyyyyy back is Épais, future club/jersey/house producer from Guildford. Remixing Daniel Bedingfields original, Épais gives us those late 90’s/early 00’s feels. With just a few days left of 2014, this remix will sure help us get through it.
