A$AP Ferg And A$AP Rocky Team Up For New Song “Pups”

The A$AP Mob boys are back together for a new single. A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky have reunited for “Pups”. Paying homage to DMX’s It’s Dark and Hell is Hot, “Pups” samples DMX’s hit single “Get At Me Dog”. Produced by Frankie P, Ferg embodies DMX’s signature rough and rugged style using a similar wordplay on the track while Rocky plays off his former protege with early decade keywords coined by the iconic rapper. The new song will appear on ASAP Ferg’s upcoming Concrete Chandeliers EP and follows his recent “REDLIGHT” collaboration with NGHTMRE. Stream A$AP Ferg and A$AP Rocky’s new track “Pups” below.

The project is about being from the hood, but having an intellectual mindset and going out and getting elegant things and doing elegant projects. Me, Valentino deals, and doing Adidas deals and being a face for Tiffany’s. It’s showing the elevation of an African-American young man. And beyond that, it’s just more of a mindset of you could be from any hood, you could be from a trailer park and be down in the trap, but you could become the Lord of anything. So that’s where the whole Trap Lord juxtaposition Concrete Chandeliers, Hood Pope, that’s where all of those things. It’s the enlightenment after the darkness. – A$AP Ferg
