Love is giving without expecting anything in return. Love is sacrifice for the sake of beauty. Love is the fuel that feeds the fires of passion.

When we premiered Easy Girl‘s Hey Girl a little while back, I figured the Shoeboxx Recordings compilation would be a good one…. but nothing could have prepared me for the kind of variety and quality that would be contained within the final product.

At a solid 27 tracks in length, VOL. TWO is a comprehensive taste of the Shoeboxx roster and literally every track is impressive which is compounded by the fact that there are 27 of them in a row. From the hype future synths of Hey Girl to the sexy vibes of Come Back to Me to straight dope beats like Basement Seance, VOL. TWO manages to switch things up while maintaining a common element that makes this comp a delightful listen-through as it was arranged.

Of course, I’m particularly fond of wonky tracks like Crewdson – Dark Star and Metome – Mother Data and of course Go Yama – Pikminz (dawwwwwwg, get out of my HEAD!) but I **** you not, this compilation is just incredible all the way through. Best of all, you don’t have to take my word for it because the whole thing is available for free through the Shoeboxx bandcamp. And when I say free, I don’t mean “pay what you want” free. I mean FREE. You don’t even have to enter you mother****ing e-mail. Pure, 100% free music… as a gift to you.

We are thrilled to present VOL.TWO, the second edition to our compilation series. This year we’ve invited friends, influences, and family from around the globe to make up this collaborative 27-track offering as a form of gratitude to simply say “thank you” to the ever growing community of artists we surround ourselves with on a daily basis.
