It has now been over two years since Lupe Fiasco‘s last album, Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1″. His ‘Tetsuo and Youth‘ has been up in the air for some time now, but after finally receiving the green light from Atlantic Records, the veteran spitter is hitting the ground running. ‘Deliver‘ serves as the initial offering from his upcoming album, and as always, Lupe keeps it political. The song looks at the current state of his (and our) hometown city, Chicago, by using the idea that “the pizza man don’t come here no more” due to “too much dope, too many [expletive] getting shot, too many [expletive] getting robbed” and more.
Stream the track below and cop the single on iTunes to tie you over until “Tetsuo and Youth” drops January 20th. Chi-town stand up! This track should silence the haters.
