I have been a fan of Monstercat releases for a long time. Their almost cult following that started over the internet has expanded to an almost worldwide reach and their artists playing stages and music festivals all over the world. They have garnered a well deserved respect as an independent music label and they show no signs of slowing down.
Their newest compilation truly exemplifies their work as a label and as a collective. Each track different from the one before, and bringing it’s own twist to sub genres of today. There are 30 tracks on the album (ten of them are exclusive to the album, and are going up one per weekday on soundcloud and youtube, so check back for additions!
The common denominator that continues this trajectory however is not solely talent discovery; but creative freedom that is encouraged at Monstercat. Between a highly diverse roster and a freedom to experiment with new sounds has not only expanded the vision of artists, but has prevent Monstercat from ever being pinned down as a single genre or style. -Monstercat Records
From the chaotic trap stylings of Aero Chord‘s “Break Them” to Hellberg’s cheery house anthem, “I’m Not Over” there is something for every kind of dance music fan.
