Between touring, building a new studio and having the best year of his career so far, the LA homie AWE has generously released not one but FOUR tracks as a way of saying “thank you” to all his fans. The 613 Collection contains an original, Clickk Em, a bootleg remix of Buy U a Drank, and then bootleg edits of both Dorian Concept – Trilingual Dance Sexperience (a personal favorite from my warp-heavy college days) and Flying Lotus – Raw Cartoons – Track 2 *(In case you’re wondering, Raw Cartoons is the fan-released ep of leaked, unfinished Flylo demos… you can read about it here) all of which were undoubtedly created for the purpose of being used during Awe’s sets. That Buy U a Drank remix is truly incredible… from the detune on the vocals to the lush 80 synths, AWE has managed to make this track sound like it was the number one track in 1986.
