If you’ve been following since the “Trap Evolved” days, it should be no secret to you that I’m a big fan of Atlantic Connection; the man made a name for himself producing some of the smoothest DnB in the game and and has since embarked on spreading the sound of future soul. Well, since signing to 12th Planet‘s infamous Smog Records, Atlantic Connection has been busy at work crafting an all new 13-track album, You & Me, which he’s offering as a completely free download as a Valentine’s gift to all his fans! 2014’s been off to a great start, can’t thank you guys enough for all the love & support. I’m extremely excited to share this new project with you all. It’s a 13 track of originals highlighting that future soul sound I love so much. Most of the tracks contain a ton of old soul and funk samples so it wasn’t going to be official, however I didn’t want to shelf the tunes either, so here you go.
I’m currently in the studio working on my next official album though, which should be done by early spring and out this summer (fyi). In the meantime… thanks again for all the love & support & If you’re feeling it please share it with someone you think might enjoy!
Atlantic Connection is making it happen. You & Me is a brilliant follow-up to Love Architect yet again showcasing the depth and maturity of a producer who’s been making high quality music for nearly a decade. Laced with deeeeeeep bass and diverse rhythm, You & Me seamlessly blends elements of trap, future bass, hip hop, funk and of course… soul… to create AC’s signature future soul sound.
I was definitely feeling feelings on deep tracks like Kind of Girl (Just The), Strangest Things, Memories and The Part of Me while tracks like Skyways, Our Love, and There If She Needs Me (Loyal) had me grooving and swerving (I was driving back from Vegas after some Lewdite ish). Of course the more classic trap crowd gets something to turn up to with tracks like Soul Clap, Soul Good, Tides and Valarie.
Bottom line: Holy &#$* how is this free? I wouldn’t be surprised to see this on my “best of” list in December. Here’s the first four tracks to stream but you’re going to want to download the whole thing anyway. Much <3 Atlantic Connection.
