2013 was a big year for trap music and electronic music in general, and although there is undoubtedly a ton of clutter out there these days, some producers are doing things right and consistently raising the bar for everyone.

Looking into our artists to watch in 2014 list, Australia makes a splash with producers like Wave Racer, Howls, Touch Sensitive, LDRU, and Basenji. Lookas has that big room sound down and looks to be bringin the future of that “festival trap” sound. It’ll be hard to uncrown DJ Sliink as the king of jersey club, but DJ Hoodboi is definitely making moves and coming through strong. Norwegian producer Kygo has a unique infectious sound that anyone would want to chill out to, and producers Falcons, Jacuzzi, Louis Futon, and Stwo ended 2013 with a bang and we’re excited to see what they’re going to bring to the table in 2014. To top things off, there’s no doubt that Victor Niglio, Jackal, Thugli, and The Ninetys are going to be fun to watch over the course of the next year.

Although there are a ton of artists we probably missed, this list should be good enough to get keep you on top of your game going into the new year. Holler in the comments with anyone we might have missed.
