Forward thinking? I think it’s safe to say that’s a healthy understatement. Two of the most unique producers in the game, Mr. Carmack and Djemba Dejmba, took the blogosphere by storm in 2013. Originally this post was created for my blog NeighborsHateUs.com but its so glorious, that I had to feature it here. Odds are you’ve heard of these two heavyweights, whether it be with massive releases on Mad Decent or seductive vibes released on SOULECTION. But we can only look forward to more tuneage in 2014, and if were lucky, maybe Carmack/Djemba Album (FULLY TORQUED THINKING ABOUT THAT IDEA).
Other then the glorious Top 10 here a few tracks you don’t want to miss from Mr. Carmack: “NASA”, “tiki tiki remix”, “Trigger feat. Jacuzzi“, “Bang”, “reputation”, “Grapevine (Mr Carmack Remix), “Humbled”, and “ODB”.
And from Djemba Djemba: “Nights Off (Djemba Djemba J Beibs Flip)”, “When It’s Hot feat. Penthouse Penthouse and Mr. Carmack”, Every Single Night (Djemba Djemba Remix), and “Green Gardens (Djemba Djemba Remix)”.
Technically a lot of these tracks were released in 2012, but with re-releases like ‘Bang Vol.3’ it’s only appropriate to include all the anthems. And to be completely honest, any of the tracks between 10-50 could be interchanged in any spot, so just give everything at least one listen.
