Drake and Future have apparently entered into a $1.5M legal battle over lost wages after Drizzy decided to boot Future off his upcoming “Would You Like A Tour?” tour. According to pagesix, the decision to kick Future off the tour was made after Billboard editor Erika Ramirez published and tweeted Future’s candid thoughts on Drake’s latest album:
Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you. They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do.
Of course upon seeing the article, Future tried to walk back on his comments in order to save his $40K/night slot on the tour but the damage had been done; Drake’s feelings were hurt. You don’t **** with Drake’s feelings, Drake’s feelings **** with you. Future was promptly dropped from the roster and after a week of failed negotiations, Future’s management has decided to file a lawsuit against the Drake camp for lost wages. Neither side has made any recent comments regarding the suit though Billboard publicly issued this pseudo-apology:
We regret that miscommunication surrounding Future’s recent visit, one that seemed clear to us was on the record, may have caused any trouble for the artist.
Drake has apparently begun negotiations with Jhene Aiko to fill the slot.
