The highly anticipated debut album “My Name Is My Name” from G.O.O.D. Music’s very own Pusha T is set to drop October 8th, and although his social media presence is already extremely loud, He has dropped two videos for the first singles, one called “King Push,” and the other “Nostalgia” featuring Kendrick Lamar.
‘King Push’ is produced by Kanye West and a a friend of Juaquin Phoenix, who passed the beat original beat on to Kanye. What makes ‘King Push’ great is how Kanye and Pusha T mesh so beautifully to create the record. Kanye brings his new ‘Yeezus-ish’ sounding beat to combat Pushas incredible bars. With a video to match, the image is very reminiscent of the ‘Black Skinhead’ video his mentor released earlier this year.
Pusha T has also teamed up with Kendrick Lamar for his second single ‘Nostalgia’ and produced visuals for this record as well. A beautiful and simple video features only Pusha and Kendrick walking through the trap doing what they do best; Spitting immaculate bars about running the dope game.
These two songs have set the standard for “My Name Is My Name,” and if the album stacks up to this quality, it is sure to be in the runnings for best album of the year. Check the videos below, and be sure to buy ‘My Name Is My Name’ in stores October 8th.
EDIT: Pusha T just released Sweet Serenade ft Chris Brown on October 7th, so we have added that below as well.
